Of all the photos I've seen of Elizabeth Taylor this past week, the Tiffany Blue interiors from Butterfield 8 have stood out the most. The color is repeated not only throughout the apartment, but used a connecting element in other scenes of the movie too. For those of you who haven't seen Butterfield 8, Turner Classic Movies is airing it as part of a special Elizabeth Taylor tribute on April 10....I know I'll be tuning in!

If you're not familiar with Taigan, let me introduce you. Taigan is a collective of online specialty shops from (mostly) around the country. Shops include well-knowns like House of Lavande and Elements, and carry everything from apparel and jewels to gourmet food and wine. The site is highly addictive in a late-hour sort of way and is a resource I use for vintage and special items. Taigan also has a really great magazine called Fetch that is definitely worth bookmarking.

I must confess, I've already purchased a few things pictured here (the pencil case, scarf, and tray from Target's ikat collection) and I wish I had the floor space for that rug. Laura and Diego Garcia originally met in college, fell in love, but then drifted apart. The couple reunited again in Rome (of course!) fell in love, married, and started a family. They live in an apartment (two floors beneath her parents) on the Upper East Side. My favorite space is baby Georgiana's room with light gray walls and a hot pink Elizabeth Taylor portrait...what a fresh take on pink for a nursery.

The recent release of In the Spirit of St. Barths has me wishing I was still on Spring Break (have I really only been back 10 days?). The book is filled with gorgeous images of the French West Indies Island and also includes insider tips and interviews with locals and bold-faced regulars. I'M BACK! WE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME VISITING COSTA RICA AND ENJOYED OUR STAY IN MANUEL ANTONIO, WHICH IS ON THE PACIFIC COAST ABOUT THREE HOURS FROM SAN JOSE. WE SPENT OUR DAYS LOUNGING AROUND THE BEACH AND READING IN THE HAMMOCK ON OUR PORCH.
