I bought a really fab pair of white ginger jar lamps on Etsy last week and have been shopping around for other great finds ever since. I love this little rattan stool — I would paint it a fun color like coral or pink. This brass trunk caught my eye too. It would be perfect at the foot of a twin bed, filled with treasures or extra blankets. Happy Hunting!

ART SHOW: KATE LONG STEVENSON

I first posted about Charleston artist Kate Long Stevenson back in August and have been following her work ever since. Her colorful, large abstract paintings are totally my type. I think I could find a spot in my home for any of these paintings...I love them all!

To peruse more of Kate's work or to purchase a piece visit her gallery.

GET THE LOOK: ALEXIS SWANSON TRAINA

Clarke's Bark, $8.50, Alexis BonBons, $35.00, 2007 Alexis Cabernet Sauvignon, $75.00 | Farm by Jackie Nickerson, from $250.00 | Pair of Tufted White Chairs, Pieces, $5,600.00 | The Darlington Chair, Society Social, set of 2 $425.00 | Mini Phalaenopsis Orchid, Diane James Home, $195.00 | White Porcelain Chandelier, Pieces, $4,650.00

After profiling the younger Swanson sisters — Veronica Swanson Beard and Claiborne Swanson Frank — I figured it was high time to focus on Alexis Swanson Traina. Her San Francisco home is the grandest of the three with its large art collection and whimsical furnishings. Like her sisters, Alexis doesn't shy away from color or lack from creativity. Some of my favorite elements include the conservatory and the lucite balusters on the staircase...she certainly has an eye for the details!

The line is extensive - if your tabletop needs just an extra platter or ramekin, they've got you covered!
